Yes...Greg and I arrived home on Monday after 5 long days of driving....nice to see family and friends and get settled in.
On one of our last rides in Mexico, Yolo and I had a little bump. I am afraid her bike got the worst of it and her left gear shifter needed to be replaced. A few bumps and a small scrape but all was well. We were able to finish our ride.
Nothing, Arizona!
Visited with our friends Mike and Marise Wickman on Tuesday and got the great news that Mike is riding across Canada with us...he says it is an opportunity that he cannot miss. They are still in the planning stages of how that is going to work but it is exciting to have another rider.
Touched base with Nancy and Dave yesterday. Nancy says she is not riding in the rain (yet) and is doing some outside rides as well as on the trainer. We are meeting at the trailer this weekend to see what we need to stock it as well as space for personal items etc. Nancy and Dave want to have a "camp out " night to try out the beds in case they need different mattresses etc. I don't blame them...comfort and a good night sleep is going to be a necessity.
Sadly we have come to the conclusion that we cannot take our big white dog with us. Being summer time, hot and her getting on in years...it would be too much for her. We are looking for a dog watcher for the 4 months and looking for help finding one. If anyone knows of someone who would consider taking a big cuddly dog...please pass on their names to us.
Mike and I did a short ride yesterday. I was on my new bike, which didn't get wet, a short
Nanaimo Lakes road loop. It is hard to know how to dress for this weather. I was stripping down and then putting clothes back on especially on the downhill sections. It is much easier in Mexico....shorts, shirt and SUNSCREEN! It was a good ride and if the weather is good this weekend....Nancy and I will get out again. Speaking of SUNSCREEN...it is on sale at Costco this week so I stocked up. Long summer....with lots of sun, I hope!
I have done my shorts and jersey order....and if anyone is interested...they will be available until the 15th of April. I have also bought a Gopro...so when that bear is chasing Nancy down the road I will have it on video to share with you all.
That is all for now. 6 weeks....lists, lists, lists.

Wow! Only 6 weeks. Where has the time gone??? Very exciting that your team is growing, too. Where is Mike going go sleep??? :)
Heidi can’t your dog be in the guide car? Won’t it break her heart to be left behind?
Make her a designated companion dog!
