XCan Day 17 : Bellevue to Lethbridge

Distance:           127.5 km
Elevation gain:   503m
Riding Time:      5 hours
Weather:             Cloudy to start turning warm and sunny
Flats:                   none
Bathroom rating: 7.5

We started in the foothills still within view of the Frank Slide.  When seen from a distance you can see where the entire side of the slope came down.

The shoulders of highway 3 were probably the best we have seen to date.

We met Greg at Pincher Station for a check in and a short snack then travelled to Fort MacLeod where there seemed to be only one restaurant open.  Not coffees to be had but BLTs all around.

Heidi saw a family of badgers (mama and two babies) and there were a few mule deer dead in the ditch along the route.

Arrived in Lethbridge on a very complicated route into the campground while the traffic and headwinds were picking up.  Mike, Dave, and Nancy enjoyed drafting off each other from Fort MacLeod into Lethbridge.  Overall a lovely riding day for Fathers Day!

Cheers,
Mike
