Distance: 95.2
Time: 3:48
Elevation: 216 m
Weather: Foggy, much cooler, sun out at 4ish
Flats: 0
Bathrooms. 4
A much slower ride today but that was okay.
There was a lot to look at along the way. Lots of small little towns and villages and some pretty funky shops and houses.
Fog was right got along the shoreline so it kept me quite cool.
Nancy and Dave left the campsite to visit people who they met a few days before. I helped Greg finish packing and get out of the campsite. Then headed off. The bike route took me along the river for almost 40 km before you had to go on Hwy 142. That was so nice. Being Saturday there were so many people out riding, running and walking.
Was going to meet up with Greg but he missed the pier because of the fog. So I just did a short stop by the river and had a snack.
I met James who loves cycling so had to ask about our trip. We talked for a bit and then I headed out.
It was an easy ride today and just when I thought I would put on my sweater the sun threatened to come out.....but it didn’t. So I stayed cool until I finished my ride.
Nancy on the other hand like the cold and they helped a cyclist out with a tube and canister for his 3rd flat of the day.
Greg had already done a jaunt into town but I had lost a screw out of the bottom of my cycling shoe so we did a quick trip back to CanTire to replace it. Enjoyed the sun in the afternoon and a walk on the beach after dinner. Greg won the rock skipping contest but I found the most seaglass! 😜
Early night as we are in the eastern side of the time zone and it gets dark early. That is our excuse and we are sticking to it. However for some reason the sun coming up early doesn’t seem to get us out of bed any earlier.
Our house has officially sold so Greg and I are vagabonds (except for the Mexican Condo).
Enjoying Life! Heidi
