XCan Day 68 - Rest Day in Mont-Louis

A good day for a rest day...rained most of the day! Mont Louis is a very small village on the north side of the Gaspe Peninsula on the gulf of St Laurence with a population of about 1100. So there are very few amenities. We try to do food shopping for the next few days each rest day and we tried in Mont Louis today. First of all had trouble finding the grocery store and when we did, we were only able find the basics...about 1/3 of the list. But we did find a wonderful restaurant called "L'eau a la Bouche" which loosely translated is "Mouth Watering" restaurant. They had a wide variety of menu items with fish, steak, pasta and pizza. Greg and Heidi had a pizza that Greg claimed to be the best pizza he's had in at least a year. Nancy had fish and Dave a steak which were also very good. Just goes to show that you can find some kind of a hidden gem in every little town.

Anyway, a good day to rest because tomorrow we have 1400m of climbing!

Cheers
Dave

Better to find a good restaurant - then you don't have to cook or do the dishes!! It sounds delicious. Onward and Upward!
