The ride today was along the south shore of the St Lawrence and for most of the ride the river was in view.
Another great ride through Quebec countryside. We seem to be in the fruit and vegetable growing part of the province because we passed several farm stands selling berries.
We are in some of the oldest settled part of Canada as well. Dave and Nancy stopped for lunch at a creperie in a town established in 1712 (although the cathedral was only built in 1902...what's up with that!).
We also came across a cheese factory and purchased some Quebec cheddar and Gouda. Made for a nice cheesy happy hour before going out to supper.
It was a relatively short ride today and we did a lot of the chores we usually do on a day off because tomorrow, our day off, we are going in to explore Quebec City. Looking forward to seeing some early Canadian history and enjoying some French food.
It's hard to believe we are 2/3 of the way through our adventure - 60 days already. So far the bodies are holding up pretty well and we continue to hope it stays that way. Heading into the Gaspe next!
Cheers,
Dave and Nancy
