Yes!!! 61 Days on the road, 52 Days of riding with 9 non riding days! Two Months and going strong! Loving the journey!
We got up a little later and prepared for our day off the bikes exploring Quebec City. We left the campground around 9:30 after waiting for a cab. When we arrived at the Old City gate we went our

Greg and I headed to the Citadel as that is what he wanted to see. We arrived just in time to see the changing of the guards, again, a little smaller ceremony than in Ottawa.
Then the hour tour and history lesson on the first French Speaking Quebec regiment in Canada. It is still an active base but an amazing history and talk about the amazing views.

From there we headed through town to the promenade and the old town down below. It was interesting but very touristy and busy...but what else can you expect. Stopped for a coffee and pastry for lunch and continued exploring.
Back up through town exploring on our way to buy protein powder. We found the store, and also a salon to get a quick hair trim, a bike shop for oil nearby and then time for an ice cream.
From there we headed back up to the Plains of Abraham and those sights. Then down to meet Nancy and Dave in Old Town for dinner.

We wasted time wandering down the street, as we were early, but Nancy and Dave had already arrived. Dinner was great.
Walked back up the street to catch a cab back to the campsite. A cold shower to clean off and then early bed. I must say, that is the most I have walked for a while. It felt good as a different form of movement.
Heading down the St. Lawrence tomorrow, towards the Gaspe if all goes well.
Thanks for checking in. Heidi
